The harm of teeth whitening; It is harmless in low concentrations (10-16%) and in correct applications. It does not cause any significant change on the enamel. It can only cause temporary damage to the gums when not enough attention is paid. There may be hypersensitivity at high concentrations.

Situations where teeth whitening is not recommended;

In people with enamel defects, dentin layer and tooth root exposed.

Continuity period of teeth whitening;

Bleaching done to remove discolorations such as tetracycline stains usually does not return.

Bleaching for general bleaching can last for 3-4 years. This period may vary from person to person depending on their eating habits. Over time, the color may return 10-20%.

For those who use coloring foods such as cigarettes and coffee a lot, the color may return 30-40% after 1-2 years.

Bleaching should be repeated with a single daily use every 6-12 years for the purpose of reinforcing so that the color does not return.
